The spouse and I have been married for many, many years and have become accustomed to being independent in some of the activities we choose to participate in. Translation: We don't like to do the same things, and it's okay.
The first day home together, alone, and we agree it's the beginning of a new adventure where we rediscover the things about each other that attracted us to each other.
We talk. And it's fun. We laugh together. And it's fun. We watch TV together. And it's fun.
For the first 2 hours.......and then we go to different rooms to watch the TV shows we really enjoy and we don't have to pretend we're interested.
This is not going to be easy...being alone, together for 2 weeks.
But, we'll make it. Tomorrow is another day.
